Health Care Aide

We are seeking a Health Care Aide to join our team and provide quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and assistance to patients in accordance with their care plans.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Monitor and report changes in patients' health status to the nursing team.
  • Administer medication under the direction of healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide program.
  • Current registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an asset.
  • Ability to lift and move patients safely.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and privacy regulations in healthcare.
Contract length: 1 month to start
Compensation: $35 per hour
